No legal advice; no attorney–client relationship

Local Attorney Fees provides informational fee estimates and an attorney-matching service. We are not a law firm, we do not practice law, and nothing on the Service is legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney–client relationship. Such a relationship is formed only when you and an attorney separately agree to it in writing.

Estimates are not quotes

Fee figures shown are cost-of-living adjusted benchmarks intended to set general expectations. They are not quotes, offers, or guarantees of price. Actual fees depend on your specific facts, the attorney you choose, and the terms of your engagement agreement.

Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and not to:

• submit false, misleading, or another person’s information without authorization;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it;
• use automated means to scrape or harvest data except as expressly permitted; or
• use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

Attorney matching

If you request a match, we may share the information you provide with one or more participating attorneys or law firms. We do not endorse or guarantee any attorney, and we are not responsible for the services, advice, or outcomes provided by any attorney you engage. Your decision to hire an attorney is solely your own.

Attorney & law firm listings

If you are an attorney or law firm and create or claim a listing on the Service, the following additional terms apply:

• Eligibility & accuracy. You represent that you are licensed and in good standing in the jurisdictions you list, and that all information you provide — practice areas, service areas, contact details, and credentials — is accurate, current, and not misleading. You are responsible for keeping it up to date.
• Professional responsibility. You are solely responsible for ensuring your listing and any advertising claims comply with the rules of professional conduct and attorney-advertising regulations of your state bar and any other applicable authority.
• Paid placements & subscriptions. Certain listing tiers, featured placements, and enhanced visibility are offered on a paid or subscription basis. Fees, billing cycles, and what each plan includes are described at the point of purchase. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you authorize us (and our payment processor) to charge your payment method on each renewal.
• Cancellations & refunds. You may cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated.
• No guarantee of results. A listing or paid placement does not guarantee any number of leads, contacts, clients, or revenue. Estimates and rankings shown on the Service are informational and are not a representation about the volume or quality of business you will receive.
• Our rights. We may review, edit, reject, suspend, or remove any listing at our discretion — including for inaccurate information, non-payment, or conduct that violates these Terms or applicable law — without liability to you.
• License to display. By submitting listing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote that content on and in connection with the Service.
• No attorney–client relationship with us. Participating in listings or lead matching does not create any partnership, agency, or attorney–client relationship between you and Local Attorney Fees. Each engagement you accept is solely between you and the client.

Advertising

The Service is supported in part by advertising, including ads served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Ads, and the cookies and similar technologies used to deliver and measure them, are governed by our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for any products, services, or websites they link to, and a link or advertisement does not constitute our endorsement.

Intellectual property

The Service and its content, features, and functionality are owned by Local Attorney Fees and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our content without permission.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that estimates are accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Local Attorney Fees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any estimate or match.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
